STUDENT NURSE going to be a STAFF NURSE!
-after my prcp-
On the way to work w Sarifah + Yuan* saw Mr Alan (CI)
he chat with us for awhile then laugh (heheehe) then walked off -jus like that?!
-> what a weird person eh?
Today @ Pac2.
Saw JerryBoy!!! -my godbro, senior aka a paramedic ^^
miss him alot la. Didn't expect to see him. haha!
Bully girls as usual. :lol
A&E Sister is another stern looking person but she's very nice too.
Q & A session after work with her was critical. haha! *i have alr returned all my theories back to NYP lecturers. OH NO!
total of 10 student nurses : 5 in e morning, 5 in e afternoon.
five different areas. everyone is alone in their own stations.
Sister approached me and said,"You can consider having yr PRCP in A & E."
Oh... but i dont think i'm suitable to work in such area.
"You can try."
Hmm... i might consider. Medical or A & E.
Urine incident: Urine is needed for UPT and UC10.
But i collected the urine -less than 10mls and totally soaked with toilet paper.
TO WHAT I KNOW: not enough + UNABLE TO collect for UC10 and it's considered contaminated because of the toilet paper.
disappointment + frustration showed on the faces.
A.N. & Doc: Still can do...
"I have alr thrown it away... because... ...."
Haiz, it's urgent u know? .. ....
"... i'm really sorry."
Doc: What to do?! Student nurse only...
Well, what can i say? Yes, i'm only a student nurse.
Still learning :)
I'm enjoying myself as a student nurse as much as i can.
Learn from mistakes, point noted and next time i will not do it again.
Being a student nurse is hard too u know?
anything we're going to do to the patients, we need to ask, inform, confirm, double-check, blah blah... with the staff nurses in-charge, the sister or even the doctors.
We dont have e authority to do what i should do... even tho we know it's correct or e right thing to do. So @ that point of time, how i wish i'm a staff nurse.
BUT, already a staff nurse... heavy responsibility!
anything we have to answer for. Doctors, assistant nurses or even student nurses come asking you 5W's and 1H (everything about the patient)- u know what i'm refering to :)
ahhh... STRESSED eh?
As a staff nurse, you got to have everything at the fingertips. That sounds familiar right? Haha!
Alright... tml afternoon shift too.
Got to get update with the outside world. haha!
AHHH... my Hot shot ep 8 is alr out! -catching up! ^^v
