Finally... i can blog with peace (:

no la. kidding... =P
As in peace, not the quiet place... u know u know?
- u all dont know?
well... is i finally can blog at home ^^
*faint* very excited to blog about my attachments.

Two weeks of attachments *whoosh* gone liao.
So fast, right? haha!
I kn0w. i told myself that,"very fast one... *whoosh whoosh whoosh* then exams coming...
Then holidays ^^v that's so "cant wait" lah. heee....

I cant wait for everything...
1) Cant wait for my Surgical posting to end (:
2) Cant wait for my gathering dinner later at night (sat) with my sec sch clique ^^
3) Cant wait for my 1 week study break to come and end slowly... =)
4) Cant wait for my exams: 3 papers to end faster.
5) Cant wait for my three weeks of holidays!!! ^^
6) Cant wait for my Gynecology & Obstetrics Posting (which is right after my 3 weeks holidays)
7) Cant wait for my Pediatrics Posting too.
8) Cant wait for my last 1 week of holidays... (:
9) Lastly, i also cant wait for sch reopen. missing my polyfrens ^^v

So much of things!!!
And... i have already planned what to do during my vacations. waha!!!

One more week to go for my surgical posting to end.
Doing fine in the ward.
Knowing more theory stuffs than practical stuffs.
I've been trying hard to learn how to do this and that, to cooperate with the A.N.s and also the Staff nurses.

Conflicts love to come in between us.
Well, not only between us.... but patients and their relatives too.
Phew~ using assertive tone and the correct way to approach them is the solution.
But... it's easier said than done.
Understanding what the patients need and also their relatives too. OMG~ *fainting*
Patients are the piority. We put patients first.

Because of medication times and the mealtimes often come together...
Relatives r very very annoyed about this issue.
Very very particular.
This particular relative came and approached me to ask me whether the pt has eaten any medication before meal as it's necessary to so that they could starting feeding the pt the dinner.
The relatives kept repeating "The dinner is getting cold. Why is the medication taking such along time?"
Well, i told the relative to wait for the SN to give medications.
Relatives very inpatient; could not wait any longer.
They claimed that the food is getting cold; medications r still not here and they're going to complain.
I quickly told the SN that they're going to complain.
The SN was very pissed by the relatives' attitude and behaviour over this issue.
The reply from SN was, "This is not at home, because hosp goes along with the results, then give medications... not according to rules. Like for an example; yr glucose lvl is high... u're on medications that lower yr sugar lvl; of cos u're given the med, right? but... if the pt's glucose lvl is low, med will not b given... as it will lower the sugar lvl even more, causing the pt to be hypoglycaemia."
Aiiyooo... Very difficult to understand meh?
The relatives dont like to feed the pt halfway then med come in between.
They claimed that by feeding the pt halfway then feed the med will trigger the pt to vomit everything. This, we understand.

But i'm trying hard to explain in chinese to them that we have to go along with the results too.
In the end, the med was given. The relatives are still very unhappy with the issue.
I was relieved after my A.N. has given the med to the pt (:

And i learnt sth from another Staff nurse during my breaktime.
Fiona and I went out to chat after eating then went back into the Staff Rm to rest.
The Staff nurse was asking another junior staff nurse why... ... the qn is below:
" Why is it that... when the pt has heart pain (Angina), tend to have pain at the neck, hands and legs and sometimes abdominal pain?"
-Silence-
Shocking faces... hard to answer. oh no... i also dont know.
I know that it do happened; but not sure why... what's the reason. SO in depth!!!
"Radiating pain!" - another junior staff nurse answered.
BRAVO!~
but... not the full answer... partially correct.
Nerve development? the nerves... ... Correct! but... not the answer i want.
[ Something to do with the fetal development inside the mother's womb. ]
woah. that was really hard to answer this answer.
The staff nurse told us that she just got to know that day (fri) only... she wans to share with us this info (: so nice of her. ^^
We all dont know... cant answer. "Give up!"
Answer is:
This is because... during the fetal development, neck is the first part of the body developed fully then arms and legs; slowly then the heart developed finished... and neck, arms and legs share the same nerve supply with the heart (:

"ding dong!!!" got it? YESH!!!!
Wahaha! =P i love to know alot alot of stuffs.
Curious mah! *bleah.*

Another thing to share with u ...
I have back pain! ouch~
U all must be... "chey!!!~ nothing much la. Back pain only... "
I think i hurt my back because i bend too much and do too much of work that requires alot of bending down my pain.!!"
Wait... didn't sch taught us to bend our knees instead of bending our backs. wahaha!!!

Anyway, i cant. Hurt my back liao.... sob! Thurs hurt my back...
Fri, still hurts alot...
Now... (sat) much better but still hurts. lolx
