LAST day of attachment at Surgical ward.
Why do i say tt?
COs... still got three more weeks at Medical ward!!!
Now, exams!!!
17th March then holidays.
Today last day... Morning shift.
Woke up at 4.30am and... feeling so sleepy.
I felt like going back to sleep again ^^
Met Angie to go to work.
And... rest in the day room.
Alone in my own cubicle. New three patients admitted last night...
Do sponging + tymol gargle for patients... ... etc.
Hourly parameters... hourly PU...
So much bus-ier!!! BUSY!!!
Sob. Luckily, i call Liu yang to help me out.
If not, i do till i faint... busy till i drop dead. lOlx!
Patients in my cubicle r so much cooperative.
I'm so glad ^^
Did dressing... wooHOo! did total of 5 dressings a week!!! hahaha~
I'm so happy...
But... kana reprimanded by the nursing manager this morning.
soB!~ She angrily said that we're not supposed to wear latex gloves to feed MRSA patients.
There's no need to wear gloves... must know the condition of the patient...
Yup, in my heart:- Assessment + understanding of the patient is very impt.
Another thing is that, they wan to cut down the expenditure. am i right???
Safety precautions are what we're taught. Wearing gloves to protect ourselves.
Well, lecturers and nurses in the clinical area saying + teaching different things.
Students... are so poor thing. Dont know who and what to trust and do the right thing.
Who is the right person to trust?
We, as student nurses working in the clinical area obey the nurses there... but lecturers said that we're wrong, should listen to them... follow what we're being taught...
Then, when we did what our lecturers say + taught us in sch, we got scolded by the nurses there that we're working + practising in the clinical area should follow the hospital protocol.
Well, hello!!!??? who are we? we're not balls... dont push us here and there...
We're stucked in the middle of nowhere, do u know tt?
I want to faint... !!! so confused.
Got clarifications from the lecturers... they say this...
Clarified with the nurses in the ward... they say that...
this is this... that is that... haiz!!! What r we supposed to do then???
Somemore, this lecturer do this, that lecturer do that...
This particular lecturer say this, that particular lecturer say that. Which is which?
How?! Hey, go get updated, please...
We students r really very confused and also very frustrated...
We understood that different hospitals have their own protocols + rules®ulations.
We also understood that different lecturers are not experienced and also they're not updated to the latest version/edition of the clinical guide... etc.
These above are just opinions of my own view.

NO, just because we're very very confused...
and even though clarified, we're still very very puzzled.
I really got nothing to say... we just go n do whatever we can...
Soap also must make till a very big thing...
Sponging patients using Hibiscrub solution or the handwashing solution...
- Wrong! must use the Johnsons&Johnson Head to Toe Wash or the head to toe washing soap available in the ward toilets.
Soap in the medication cups.
- Wrong again! patients might mistaken them as their medicine and take it orally...
CAUTIOUS! must use disposable cups or the small plastic containers but not medication cups!
REMINDER: Whatever we do, must think and ask if got queries (:

We complained about Ee Nor to Mr neo.
haha!!!
MR neo is so nice!!!
We bathed in the ward toilet... ME and liu yang bathed.
Angie, zhou li and lian min changed clothes...
We set off and head towards our destination!!! WoOhOO!!!~
MARINA!!! STEAMBOAT!!!
In the end, only me & angie...
Ate alot... haha!!!
Had so much of fun together ^^
We even went shopping at Bugis...
And then we went home...
I waited for darling and his frens... they at AMK.
Someone vomitted in the train... stinko!~
Some passengers came out of the train... haha!!!
Then, my darling called me and asked me to go over...
VOmitus all over the platform... gosh man!!!
I didn't see any when i walked to another side to sit down.
Went home with darling...
And then mum said got a letter on my desk.
Ooh. from MOE...
Must be my O lvl eng result!!! (:
I'm so excited... nervous...
Opening the letter as careful as i could....
the moment i looked at the letter... still trying to figure out what grade did i get for my eng.
BLUR BLUR BLUR... still trying to see.
finally, i understood after a few mins. lOlx~
i got B3 for my eng!!! I'm so happy!
Then my L1R4 is 14. yeah!
From a D7 to a B3... woah!!! Extremely happy about it ^^
COngrats myself!!! haha~
