YEAH!

Left 5 days of NUH attachment !!!

Hooray!!! I'm so happy!

Well... one more week to sch reopen :)

Isn't that great? I'm have been longing sch to start!

And... indeed it's starting soon ^^

I'm so happy, i'm so glad that i've found u. lolz =.=

Attachment for one week le... It's was definitely a wonderful experience there...

Great! Fun!

- It's normal and common to get scolded by nurses there in the ward when working together with them.

- Next, communication is important. (Everyone knows that, right?) (^-^)

- Need to work automatically and also systematically too.

(meaning: Do things without being told, do whatever u think it's right and appropriate.)

- Sometimes, be alert and focus on what u should do and dont do unneccessary things.

I have learnt lots of things from the nurses from this whole week.

I know there's two Hazel in the ward. hahaha

Two hazels are good to me... but i prefer the one on fri afternoon shift de ^^

She's very understanding... she taught me alot of stuffs.

I love her!!! hahaha... I think she's a Philipino. (^_^)

Nice, understanding , gentle...

And... she loves to call me darling... dear...

Seriously, i was shocked at first why she call me that...

Other nurses usually call me... either Student or Missy missy... ...

Very rarely call me a darling or dear.

The first time Hazel call me darling... i was doing my stuff, i didn't she's calling me...

until... she pat on my shoulder and call me again.

SHOCKED! I replied and ask yes?

Oh... slowly i was used to being called darling or dear by her..

Most of the nurses there usually call each other darling or dear...

Is that sounds weird to u guys?

wahaha ^^ Yes, right?

But... truthfully, i think they call each other in this way, it's very initimate and the bonding between is very strong... they can communicate well and close until u cant even believe yr eyes...

But also... they will have some conflicts, scoldings... and even quarrels.

And... i found out it's true!

My patients all encourage me and praise me... giving me advices too ^^

They all cheer me up when they saw my nurses scolded me.

They're so sweet!

One of the patient told me not to worry and he said sth really encouraging to me

:- " As time goes by, u'll tend to be as professional as them, and get used to this seemed foreign to u but slowly a familiar environment to u in a few days time."

Wah... touched lah!

I know & learn alot from the nurses as well as the patients there.

Knowing how's life in the hospital like...

Knowing to cooperate with nurses and patients in the ward.

As Eileen whom i met last few days when i was going back home myself after my attachment, she told me that nurses tend to be more understanding and grow up to be more matured people in the working society.

Get in touch with life & death... dealing with patients admitted to hospital and those discharging...

The truth is i agree with her.

Now in my ward (medical 63)... is always patients in & out... one discharge & one admitted or transfered...

The ward is always busy*

I'm fortunate enough... i dont wish or hope for too much...

I just want to be a simple living person, it's enough :)

Yesterday(fri), afternoon shift From 12pm to 8pm. ^^

-Working with Nurse Hazel.

- Work until 8plus... still have not leave the ward yet.

- GOt call belll so Zhou li went to pick up... and the patient need assistance to change the diapers.

So... zhou li need to change the diapers for her...

She's taking care of all female patients

Poor thing... she off shift le... still have to work... got OT mah?

hahaha... kidding. of cos no OT lah...

We're paid, okay?

LOLz

So we left at abt 8.30 pm. Poor gals ^^

We three.. Me, sharon and Zhou li went to Seven-11 and buy Strawberry Yoghurt

Waha.... we three drink and go take bus.

Finally we can rest for two whole days.

And... We got care plan to do!

My patient ( i pity him) cos he cant eat anything before his Endoscopy.

Endoscopy is: a small mini-camera go through his mouth and it scanned the canal through the oesophagus and his stomach to check whether there's any uclers or lumps inside.

And... he went for his endoscopy in the afternoon at 2pm.

I saw him on the bed being pushed out of the ward... his family members were there for him. I'm glad they were there to support him ^^

I feel happy for him.

And.. he's back arnd 5plus... i saw him right after my dinner at 5pm.

I went to take his blood pressure again for him and ask him how is it...

He shake his head... and i think he's too tired to think of my qn and answer my qn.

He went to sleep right after his family members leave :)

I wanted to interview him but since he's sleeping so soundly, i dont want to disturb him either

At night, arnd 7pm... alot of patients need to go and urine...

I (poor gal) have to prepare many urinals for them and assist them to the toilet.

At one time, got four patients using the toilet.

I need their urinals right after they finished.

I need measure their amt of urine they "produced" waha^^

Wah... Nurses are very busy de hor!!! hahaha...

Okay... i like jumping here and there to update my bloggy.

yesterday( friday) is Mooncake festival!!!

Woohoo (^-^)

Right after my attachment, i rushed to Yishun and joined them to celebrate Mooncake festival.

Got alot of ppl there...

I named some.... sorry if i miss out yr name.

- Andrew, Kenny, Irwin, KC. Kenneth, Zhao, Zicai, Darling, Xiangjun, Aloysius, Qinghui, Minyi, Samantha, Pauline, her fren, Wanjun. then, Linhao, Chester, Chenghui and Shi jie came.... then later Liya came too.

Arnd 11pm plus, darling acc me home.

Reached home at abt 12plus.

Bathed and eat then sleep ... pig hor?

Cannot blame... and wake up at 10 plus...

Family going sentosa today. I need to do my care plan so i stay at home ^^

I go happily do my careplan le... buaiz!
